Technician’s Maintenance Tip:
The i-Series (C250i–C650i) uses a very high-torque motor. When installing this Double-Layer blade, lubrication is not just recommended—it is mandatory. Because the double-layer material has a higher "grip" factor, an unlubricated blade can flip or damage the drum motor upon the very first rotation.
Pro-Tip: Liberally apply Yellow Toner or Kynar Setting Powder to the entire length of the blade’s cleaning edge before reassembly. Manually rotate the drum gear by hand in the direction of travel to ensure the blade is "parked" correctly and sliding smoothly before sliding the unit back into the machine.
