Technician’s Maintenance Tip:
The Fuji Xerox IV-series drum units are highly sensitive to the interaction between the drum surface and the cleaning blade. When installing the CET7791 150K Drum:
- Mandatory Blade Replacement: To achieve the full 150,000-page life, you must install a new Japan-Grade Drum Cleaning Blade. An old blade will have microscopic nicks that will score this new drum surface within days.
- Lubrication: Liberally apply Setting Powder or Yellow Toner to the drum surface and the blade edge before the first rotation.
- Sensor Reset: After installation, use the Service Mode to perform the "Max Setup" calibration. This allows the machine to adjust the laser intensity to the specific electrical charge properties of the CET coating.
