The Canon C5000/C5200 series uses a sensitive primary charging system. To achieve the best results with the CET8332N drum:
- Mandatory Blade Replacement: To reach the full life cycle of this premium CET drum, you must install a new High-Resilience Polyurethane Blade. Using an old blade with nicks will score the drum surface immediately.
- Clean the Charge Roller: Ensure the Primary Charge Roller (PCR) is free of toner buildup. A dirty PCR will cause repetitive "ghosting" artifacts regardless of the drum quality.
- The "Yellow" Prime: Apply a light layer of Yellow Toner or Kynar Setting Powder to the drum surface before reassembly. This provides essential lubrication for the first rotation, preventing the cleaning blade from sticking or flipping.
