Technician’s Maintenance Tip:
The iR-ADV C5000/C5200 series uses a complex waste toner recovery system. When installing the FM4-7246-010 blade, it is vital to check the ITB Waste Toner Pipe for blockages. If the pipe is clogged, toner will back up into the cleaning unit, causing the new blade to fail immediately.
Pro-Tip: Never install the blade "dry." Apply a light dust of Yellow Toner or Kynar Setting Powder to the cleaning edge before reassembly. This provides essential lubrication for the first few seconds of rotation, preventing the blade from "sticking" to the clean belt surface and potentially flipping or tearing.
